Welcome to my writer's corner
No, I don't use an old-fashioned typewriter. But I did, back in college.
If I still had it, it would be quite valuable.
With a foreword by Dr. Jeanne Schindler, fellow of the John Paul II Institute, more than seventy beautiful images from different churches accompany twenty-one reflections written by women, on the meaning of the Eighth Station of the Cross and how Jesus continues to greet them today.
Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, described this book as “uniquely beautiful”, and Sr. Nathalie Bequart, XMCJ, Undersecretary of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops, wrote,
“Everywhere in the world, women are always the first victims of conflict, violence, poverty, abuse, unemployment, climate crisis…So many women experience suffering, but as courageous bearers of life they also show incredible resilience and highlight paths to follow Christ from His Passion to Resurrection. This book in honor of Deirdre McQuade is a beautiful and powerful expression of the paschal journey of so many women from yesterday to today who, like her, are close to Jesus carrying his cross... These voices of women of faith are a true gift for the Church to empower other women.”

Betrayal. Reconciliation. Redemption.
In 1945, ancient documents tied to the very beginnings of Christianity are unearthed in Naj Hammadi, Egypt.
Theft, murder, and intrigue follow.
Now, only a Coptic nun, Sister Sahira Rafiq, can translate the first-person testimonies of the earliest followers of Christ—Peter, Lydia, Paul, Lucina, Silas, Priscilla, Xanthippe, Luke, and Timothy—and complete the centuries-old quest to find the hidden relics of the founders of the church.
The critics say:
“A thought-provoking novel from Christopher J. Mooney… Well-researched and inspired by actual lost books of the Bible and various apocryphal gospels, this is a linguistically consistent and impressive read. Rich in meaningful storytelling and imbued with fresh Christian wisdom via known historical figures, this powerful narrative offers a creative extrapolation of beloved spiritual stories.”

“Clearly well-researched… Each place feels concrete and real and fleshed out, as do the characters, as does each time period.”

Who destroyed thousands of letters which concealed a secret family history burned - and why?
Inspired by a true story, this is the sole surviving record of the paths of three generations involved in the growth of Britain's Secret Intelligence Service, Russia's KGB, and the Franciscan's Ordo Fratum Minorum, through Washington, London, Moscow, Montreal and the Middle East - and the deadly consequences of their decisions.
Two Great Detectives, Forty Great Recipes, One Unsolved Mystery:
Why did it take more than twenty years?
Poached salmon with dill sauce, or anchovies and egg salad on a roll? Palm Beach haute cuisine and haute couture, or East Side deli and NYPD dress blues? Sinatra or Bennett? Why not both?
The first of these gumshoes made his appearance in 1970, the second in 1992. Sleuths from such different generations and geographies may seem as dissimilar as vichyssoise and French Fries, but they are in fact linked on a "family" tree through their common appreciation for good victuals. There's never been a journal with the gourmet deductions of The Epicurean Detectives - until now.
